Zhou Nutrition is a USA-based food supplements and nutrition company. Their motto is “Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Research.” It seems that they are trying to market themselves as an company based on eastern, asian philosophy. They have a lot of supplement ranging from “horny goat weed” to “water away with dandelion.” Zhou Nutrition also has a thyroid support product that we decided to review. Let’s see how this “eastern” product compares with other thyroid products.

Thyroid Support is a combination of vitamins, minerals, and herbs formulated to help maintain normal thyroid activity. On Zhou Nutrition’s website, it states that this product can boost metabolism and lose weight, remove the brain fog and think clearly, and allow you to wake up rested and stay energized all day. They certainly make a lot of claims for their product. But what’s actually inside the pill?

This supplement contains 14 ingredients in each pill – ranging from essential ingredients like iodine and l-tyrosine to minerals like copper. However, it’s significant to note that Zhou Nutrition does not actually support or mention their ingredients in the claims they make earlier. Instead of explaining anything of that nature, the manufacturer simply makes bold claims about how essential vitamins will enhance your thyroid. Reputable supplement manufacturers make detailed claims about their ingredients and how those ingredients work, and usually link to articles or research papers that support their claims. This helps the consumer know that whats in the formula, actually works. Sometimes more isn’t actually better. Let’s see what people had to say about it.

We noticed that a lot of the reviews on Amazon are in broken English and just seem very generic. I started taking this about 2 weeks ago and have noticed a very noticeable increase in energy and have been losing weight at a steady pace where it was difficult before. I take this with my Armour thyroid pill but take it about 4 hours after my thyroid pill. (FYI: I took Synthroid for years and it only made my TSH levels go up, so my doctor started me on a natural thyroid and that has made a huge difference as well.) Generally these thyroid supplements are OK for most people to take with synthroid spaced apart. However, it is always a good idea to check with your doctor or the supplement maker.

Most patients do take thyroid supplements along with Synthroid. I don’t think any of the ingredients would interfere, but it is always a good idea to check with your doctor first too.
I tried it for a month and took two every day. My energy felt better for the first two weeks but then it dropped off. Don’t feel much different at the end of the month so I stopped taking it.
