Thyro8

What Is Thyro8?

According to the American Thyroid Association, 1 in 8 women will experience some sort of thyroid issue in their lifetime – most likely hypothyroidism.

Hypothyroidism is a contributor to a lot of unpleasant symptoms, including weight gain.

Thyro8 is a thyroid support supplement that is built around this statistic. In fact, the 8 in Thyro8, is a reference to this statistic. Thyro8 is said to be all natural and has a perfect blend of ingredients to to help rejuvenate the body and the mind. Read more to determine how Thyro8 works and the benefits it can have for thyroid health.

Thyro8 Effects and Benefits

Thyro8 contains a blend of 6 ingredients: Selenium, Iodine, Vitamin K2, Hydroxytyrosol Acetate, Guggulsterone Extract, and Theobromine. Selenium and Iodine are common minerals found in most thyroid supplements and they have been shown to greatly influence thyroid hormone production.

Iodine may make it difficult for those with Hashimoto’s disease to be able to take this supplement, but for hypothyroid patients who do not consume enough Iodine, it will undoubtedly be a benefit for them, as Iodine is perhaps the most important essential ingredient for the thyroid. Selenium, however, does not have this issue, and has been shown in studies to benefit all thyroid patients who are suffering from hypothyroidism (see article linked above.)

Vitamin K2 is a bit interesting since does not directly influence thyroid function or hormone synthesis. According to this literature review published in 2017, Vitamin K2 is most helpful for bone and cardiovascular health. Interestingly enough, this study also listed cognition as one of the main areas Vitamin K2 can help as well. It noted that intake of Vitamin K was associated with better memory performances on recall tasks. This Vitamin could especially be helpful for those suffering from brain fog or mental sluggishness.

Hydroxytyrosol Acetate and Theobromine similarly, has not had direct thyroid impacts studied either. These two ingredients are more associated for their anti-inflammatory and mood elevating properties – both of which are symptoms of thyroid issues.

Lastly, guggulsterone, as noted in this article, has many beneficial effects for the thyroid – notably with losing weight.

There are numerous essential ingredients that Thyro8 does not include. Vitamin B12, Vitamin DMagnesium, and Copper are some of these vitamins and minerals that Thyro8 decided not to put into their thyroid supplement. It is possible that this thyroid supplement will not be as effective because of the lack of inclusion of these ingredients.

PROS:
  • Unique Formula with good sources
  • No gluten
  • Vegan friendly

CONS:
  • Expensive
  • Does not contain some essential vitamins and minerals
  • No amino acids

Thyro8 Review and Experiences

The popular presence and hype of Thyro8 on social media and shopping platforms has resulted in many consumers becoming aware of this thyroid supplement. It has also resulted in a lot of Thyro8 users sharing their feedback with the supplements which is great for determining how Thyro8 works to benefit thyroid health.

The feedback of Thyro8, most prominently seen on Facebook and Amazon as well as other platforms, has generally been average to a bit above average. The collected scores do not scream exceptional or even great to say the least. A large number of Thyro8 users said that they did not feel like their symptoms changed significantly. The common symptom of weight gain for instance, was even aggravated by Thyro8 for a few of the people that took it. This is certainly not something anyone wants to get worse!  As put by one of these users, they felt that the only thing they felt from Thyro8 was just the hype.

On the other hand, there are those who felt significantly better with Thyro8. A smaller number of users said that they felt like they had more energy, and some of their symptoms of hypothyroidism, such as hair loss, was not as frequent after taking Thyro8 for a period of time. Although the number of users who said this are less than the other side, it is reassuring to know that Thyro8 does contain a money back guarantee, which would certainly be a good benefit of deciding to try Thyro8 to help support thyroid health.

Thyro8 misses some key amino acids, herbs, vitamins, and minerals to help fully support a healthy thyroid, but it does contain some good ingredients for thyroids. It is a bit expensive though.

Don’t order from this company. It has almost been two weeks and I haven’t heard anything about my order and they already charged my card. It’s probably better to order from Amazon which is what I wish I would have done. Every time I call the number–which was only available on my credit card statement, I get an answer machine and they say that they will leave a message for them to call me back.

Hi, my name is Miriam. I live in AZ. I decided to try Thyro8 when I was between Dr’s.
I have Hashimoto’s and was on T-3. Since I ran out of my prescription I started on Thyro8.
When I got my new blood tests I was very happy to report that my TPO Antibody level
came down significantly. My former level on T-3 was 316. Normal range is 34.
My new level on Thyro8 was 103. So very happy. I felt great taking Thyro* and my hair
stopped falling out, I still was losing weight. Thank you for making this fantastic product.

Thyro8 seems to be designed specifically for women considering that the 8 in Thyro8 stands for the fact that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with a thyroid disorder. However, many men have been taking it as well.

I take synthroid because I had both removed, can I take this instead of “real” medicine? I am looking to get off the big pharma drugs. I am having heart palpitations and my resting heart rate is 105 all day, my BP was as high as 170/105 but I increased my magnesium intake to 2,000mg per day and my bp is 119/79 so it is under control now. I am 50 and I never had blood pressure heart rate issues until 2 weeks ago

      Hi Oscar,

If you had your thyroid removed, I would definitely not stop taking your thyroid medication. Thyroid support supplements, like Thyro8, work best for those with full thyroids. Those with thyroidectomys will not benefit as much from thyroid supplements and should continue their medication. Perhaps ask your doctor about adding a thyroid supplement in addition to your medication, but again I do not think replacing existing medication with your condition right now is a good choice.

      Hi Susanne,

Generally, patients with medical conditions should check with their doctor before taking thyroid supplements, or really any supplement of any kind, as it can exasperate their condition or interfere with an existing medical plan.
